Most of my kitchen knives are housed on a double sided magnetic knife block that sits discreetly in the corner on my kitchen counter top but there are a couple of less frequently used knives that I still keep in a kitchen drawer.
I needed blade guards to ensure my knives’ blades stay sharp, undamaged and more importantly don’t scratch or damage the expensive Hettich custom internal organisation units fitted in our recently completed very expensive kitchen renovation.
I have been searching online for months to find the perfect blade guards. I wanted something magnetic, high quality, plain - with no (preferably) or very minimal branding and aesthetically beautiful.
The Chefs Edge Magnetic Blade Guard fits my criteria perfectly. The outside is textured black leather with a discreet and simple embossed “Ce” logo on the outside and the interior is carbon fibre. It looks and feels high quality and expensive but it only cost me AUD $17.00.
It covers the full length of my knife with a little extra length which means it also protects the blade tip and my beautiful drawer interiors. The knife sits flat and straight in the drawer with the blade guard fitted and takes up minimal space.
I looked at many different brands of blade guards - some were unbelievably expensive - that I actually considered buying. I saw the Chefs Edge blade guard and ordered two so I could see them in my kitchen and try them out. I thought for the price I couldn’t go wrong - even if they weren’t what I was looking for.
I am so glad I didn’t rush in and buy the very expensive ones - the Chefs Edge blade guards are fantastic.
This knife guard is perfect in every way - I honestly couldn’t be happier with it.
Chefs Edge provided exceptional customer service - my entire online experience with them has been superb.
