Est. 2018, Australia

A curiosity about Japanese knives that turned into our full-time job.

We bought our first Japanese knife in Tokyo in 2015, and instantly we were hooked. What started as a passion project in Ben's spare room has now grown into one of the world's leading purveyors of Japanese knives and homewares.

Chefs Edge EST 2018

In support of the makers.

As die-hard fans of Japanese knives and culture, we see it as our duty to support the makers and artisans as best we can.

We travel to Japan each year to forge deeper relationships with our suppliers (pun intended), ensuring that end-user feedback is heard, new designs are drawn up, and quality standards are continually reviewed.

Back at home, we're relentless in the pursuit of providing unmatched service, the best value, and the best possible customer experience. We're a small team with a big offering. Our industry-leading, transparent returns policy allows you to shop with confidence, knowing that we're on-hand to assist with our dedicated support crew.

When you shop with Chefs Edge, you are directly supporting these artisans, some of whom have tool and sword making histories dating back over 700 years.

Now in our 8th year with over 100,000 orders out the door, we're sure you'll appreciate the artisan's incredible work as much as we do.

Happy cooking!

Ben, Sam & the Chefs Edge team.

"I constantly pinch myself that this is what I get to do for a living. Our customers and blacksmiths have made this brand what it is today."

How We Source

Every knife in our collection is sourced through direct relationships with Japan's finest knife makers. We provide the highest quality or kitchen knives and accessories.

1

Discover & Visit

We travel to Japan's knife-making regions multiple times a year, visiting workshops and building relationships with blacksmiths whose work meets our standards.

2

Test & Select

Every knife is tested in real kitchens by professional chefs and passionate home cooks before we add it to our collection.

3

Direct Import

We purchase directly from the maker or their workshop, ensuring fair pricing for both the craftsperson and you.

4

Quality Check & Ship

Each knife is inspected in our Perth warehouse for fit, finish, and sharpness before being carefully packaged and shipped to your door.
