Some may consider the Naniwa Chosera Pro 1000 grit whetstone to be on the pricier end for a 1000 grit whetstone but you definitely get what you pay for with this whetstone. I've used it after using a Kuromaku 320 grit stone and it does cut quite fast. Lovely and thick, with great feedback. It's harder than the Shapton Kuromaku line but it's not as rolls Royce smooth as the Shapton Rockstar. whetstone but you definitely get what you pay for with this whetstone. It's hard to go wrong with Chocera

The Naniwa Chocera Pro 1000 will restore that keen edge that is dulled and needing a touch up, or it will do great at removing 400 grit scratches on the way up to a polished edge / bevel. Another thing I have noticed over the years these Chocera stones are good at, is getting a little Kasumi finish going on your iron cladded knives. For me it leave a nice, rich, darker clad line, but smooths it out so it isn't terribly rough. I love MANY stones and MANY brands, but this is overall a great stone I would recommend time and time again!

Great

Great quality for the price. Bought these (#400,#1k,#3k) on recommendation and they're really nice to use. They cut quickly and don't seem to fish nearly as fast as my other stones that need soaked. Splash-and-go is another huge plus.
